Arrrgghh!!! A little late for pirate day but still fun.

I'm betting most of you can guess what cartoon I was watching with my kids today.

Honestly I think that life is just always better with a beach around and not just any beach. I've lived on the west coast most of my life and have enjoyed many different kinds of beaches and although Cali is amazing I will always prefer a wet Oregon beach to any other.

This is a sketch I did for my kids to color. I'm a glorified coloring book artist most days:)and I love it.

I think I've done this picture a few times. I made the mistake of starting it before I had the sketches okay'd. Some days it's just hard to sit still and not paint but it was fun doing it a second time.

One of the final pieces for my Sioux Indian project. I love how this one turned out.

My scanner is slowly dying but these are sketches for a project I just finished. I needed to capture a Plains Indian look.

I think my favorite part of this picture is the sailor on the right side mast. His expression just came out funny. I love happy accidents like that.

African Pygmy Kingfisher Final

Even the vibrant use of color in this picture can not compare to the actual color of the pgymy. These little birds are exotically colorful. I just love it.

I love this stage in my kids lives slobbering, crawling-happiness!!
